Además, algunos de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) están relacionados con el turismo sostenible, subrayando su importancia global. Actualmente, existen trabajos y proyectos de investigación enfocados en la implementación de medidas para hacer que el turismo sea más sostenible. También es importante determinar cuándo el turismo es verdaderamente sostenible y, para ello se diseñan diversas metodologías. Este enfoque es en el que se basa el presente trabajo. Se analizan datos disponibles que pueden utilizarse para medir el turismo y la sostenibilidad, se presentan técnicas de análisis de datos y un software que realiza estos análisis. Finalmente, se ha realizado la validación de las técnicas elegidas y se han desarrollado diversos casos prácticos. Se demuestra que con la metodología presentada se pueden analizar datos relativos al turismo y, a partir de ella, llegar a conclusiones que permitan estudiar la sostenibilidad en el turismo.Sustainability in tourism has become a mandatory requirement in recent years, required at the regulatory level and as a result of growing demand from society, which is increasingly aware of the effects of tourism on climate change. Moreover, some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are related to sustainable tourism, underlining its global importance. Currently, there is work and research projects focusing on the implementation of measures to make tourism more sustainable. It is also important to determine when tourism is truly sustainable, and various methodologies are designed for this purpose. This approach is the basis of this paper. Available data that can be used to measure tourism and sustainability are analysed, data analysis techniques and software that performs these analyses are presented. Finally, validation of the chosen techniques has been carried out and several case studies have been developed.
