This paper presents a state-of-the-art study on the application of flipped classroom models together with adaptive techniques to personalize learning. The analysis has been performed from several dimensions: platforms, technologies and training models. Based on this analysis and the authors’ experience in developing Adaptive Flipped Classroom model, a multimodal model has been created that is applicable to any dimension and situation. The model is mainly based on making the “lesson at home” activity of the adaptive flipped classroom method. This activity is based on analyses performed at different points in time: pre, during and post. In other terms, it is a matter of applying adaptive techniques after analyzing the obtained information about the students’ interaction with the technology and with his or her learning. Three partial models and one generic are defined depending on where adaptability is done. The resulting model allows to do learning adaptations throughout the training process in a flexible way and independently of the chosen technological solution.application/pdf11 p.engAdaptive learningFlipped classroomLearning analyticsMachine learningMOOCMultimodal Adaptive Flipped Classroominfo:eu-repo/semantics/conferenceObjectinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccess10.1007/978-981-97-1814-6_133
