Universidad de Sevilla, Sevilla.https://hdl.handle.net/11441/165655El trabajo de fin de grado que se presenta tiene como objetivo principal profundizar en el concepto de las escuelas a cielo abierto y su impacto en el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de educación primaria. En este contexto, se busca destacar la relevancia de reconectar a los niños y niñas con la naturaleza, explorando las diversas metodologías y principios que subyacen a este tipo de instituciones educativas. Para lograr este propósito, se lleva a cabo un análisis exhaustivo de los documentos existentes sobre el tema, lo que permite comprender en profundidad tanto los fundamentos teóricos como las experiencias prácticas relacionadas con las escuelas a cielo abierto. Se examinan detalladamente los beneficios físicos, cognitivos, emocionales y sociales que este enfoque pedagógico puede ofrecer tanto a los estudiantes con y sin necesidades educativas como a los docentes involucrados en él. Además, se explora la conexión entre las escuelas a cielo abierto y los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) establecidos por las Naciones Unidas, destacando cómo este tipo de educación puede contribuir a la promoción de prácticas más sostenibles y respetuosas con el medio ambiente. También se reconocen los desafíos y las barreras que pueden surgir en la implementación de este enfoque educativo. Estos pueden incluir aspectos relacionados con la infraestructura, la formación docente, la aceptación por parte de la comunidad educativa y la adaptación de los programas curriculares existentes. Para complementar el análisis teórico, se van a realizar entrevistas y cuestionarios a docentes que han tenido experiencia práctica en escuelas a cielo abierto. Estas investigaciones cualitativas y cuantitativas proporcionan una visión más detallada de los aspectos prácticos y las percepciones de quienes están directamente involucrados en la implementación de este modelo educativo. Asimismo, cabe destacar que en este trabajo encontraremos información contrastada a través de varios informantes claves y fuentes de información fiables sobre las escuelas a cielo abierto y cómo este tipo de enseñanza promueve un trabajo integral de las áreas que conforman el currículum educativo, de los ODS a la vez de conseguir mejorar las habilidades y capacidades de los discentes y los docentes. En resumen, este trabajo se propone contribuir al conocimiento existente sobre las escuelas a cielo abierto y su potencial para transformar la educación, ofreciendo una visión integral que combina la revisión teórica con la investigación empírica, y destacando tanto sus oportunidades como sus desafíos.The main objective of this thesis is to explore the concept of open-air schools and their impact on the learning process of primary school students. In this context, it seeks to highlight the relevance of reconnecting children with nature, exploring the various methodologies and principles that underlie this type of educational institutions. To achieve this purpose, a comprehensive analysis of the existing literature on the subject is carried out, providing an in-depth understanding of both the theoretical underpinnings and practical experiences related to open-air schools. The physical, cognitive, emotional and social benefits that this pedagogical approach can offer both to students with and without educational needs and to the teachers involved are examined in detail. In addition, it explores the connection between open schools and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, highlighting how this type of education can contribute to the promotion of more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. It also recognises the challenges and barriers that can arise in implementing this educational approach. These may include aspects related to infrastructure, teacher training, acceptance by the educational community and adaptation of existing curricula. To complement the theoretical analysis, interviews and questionnaires will be conducted with teachers who have had practical experience in open schools. This qualitative and quantitative research provides a more detailed insight into the practical aspects and perceptions of those directly involved in the implementation of this educational model. It should also be noted that in this work we will find information contrasted through various key informants and reliable sources of information on open schools and how this type of teaching promotes a comprehensive work of the areas that make up the educational curriculum, of the SDGs while improving the skills and capacities of students and teachers.
