The concept is rather general and applicable to various metamaterials as long as the effective medium description is valid. The demonstrated continuous tuning of a metamaterial response is highly desirable for a number of emerging applications of metamaterials, including sensors, filters, and switches, realizable in a wide frequency range.application/pdf3 p.engMagnetismElectrical properties and parametersInductive couplingComputational electromagneticsMetamaterialsCrystal latticesCrystal structureLiquid crystalsNatural materialsOptical metrologyStructural Tunability in Metamaterialsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess10.1063/1.3211920
