Frente al centralismo de un Estado, que había utilizado los recursos económicos y humanos de la región para la industrialización de otros territorios, el regionalismo primero y el autonomismo, una vez iniciada la transición a la democracia, fueron concebidos como el medio idóneo para asegurar el desarrollo de Andalucía.Becoming aware of the underdevelopment turned into the «differ-ential fact» that fed the autonomist feeling in Andalusia during the tran-sition to democracy.
