Por lo tanto, el presente trabajo se centra en conocer y dar visibilidad a la realidad de las familias homoparentales, incidiendo en sus historias, en los estigmas y prejuicios impuestos por el resto de la sociedad, así como en la relación de estos padres con la escuela. Con el fin de ahondar en la propia voz de estas familias y conocer su historia, se han realizado entrevistas en profundidad donde los participantes hablan de educación y de su relación con la escuela. Estas entrevistas serán contrastadas con otras pertenecientes a otro artículo con el fin de conocer la evolución de las familias homoparentales con respecto a hace una década. A modo de conclusión, se puede comprobar que estas familias comparten el significado de la palabra “educación” con cualquier otro tipo de familia. Y que, pese a que aún es necesaria mayor visibilidad, existe una evolución a favor de estos padres gays y madres lesbianas. No obstante, se reivindican más estrategias socioeducativas que permitan una aceptación estandarizada hacia estas familias.As we live in a society undergoing drastic and profound changes, it is of vital importance to know the diversity that is emerging in our daily lives. Therefore, this work focuses on understanding and giving visibility to the reality of same-sex parent families, focusing on their stories, on the stigmas and prejudices imposed by the rest of society, as well as on the relationship between these parents and the school. In order to delve into the voices of these families and learn about their history, in-depth interviews were conducted in which the participants talked about education and their relationship with school. These interviews will be contrasted with others from another article in order to find out how same-sex parent families have evolved in comparison with a decade ago. By way of conclusion, it can be seen that these families share the meaning of the word ‘education’ with any other type of family. And that, although more visibility is still needed, there is an evolution in favour of these gay fathers and lesbian mothers.
