La posición marginal que hasta hace poco ha tenido la lírica hispana del Bajo Barroco en la historiografía literaria, la temática jocosa y erótica de la poesía de este ilustre cronista y los problemas de autoría que manifiesta han dificultado su análisis y su divulgación.This article aims to expose the current state of the studies on the poetic work of Fray Damián Cornejo, show its literary interest and to make known the manuscripts and printed testimonies that contain it.
