Universidad de Sevilla, Sevilla.https://hdl.handle.net/11441/166121Diophantine equations have been extensively studied by mathematicians throughout history. One of the many methods developed to do so is the introduction of p-adic numbers. Effectively computable methods have been found for solving equations in p-adic numbers; however, it is not guaranteed that these solutions provide enough information about the solutions in rational numbers. The aim of this work is to understand this relation between solutions, called Hasse principle. Two cases are studied: cuadratic forms over the rational numbers, where the principle holds; and elliptic curves, where it generally does not.application/pdf69 p.spaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/El principio de Hasse en formas cuadráticas y curvas elípticasinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
