No obstante, la historiografía sobre la disputa por la tierra protagonizada por los pueblos de indios de la región que nos ocupa es prácticamente inexistente, por tanto, este artículo pretende ser un punto de partida para el desarrollo de investigaciones posteriores sobre el tema.In Mexico the fight for land during the colonial time is, perhaps, the most well documented socioeconomic phenomenon.
