En este artículo analizaremos todo el ritual para, posteriormente, reflexionar acerca de las motivaciones políticas que pudieron conducir a Pachacuti a planificar esta peculiar ceremonia.According to the chronicles of the 16th and 17th centuries, it was Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui who ordered the funerals of Sapay Inca to be hold in two steps. The first one had to be conducted just after the ruler’s death and the second one, a year later.
