Analizado desde el punto de vista de la Entomología, nos ha permitido considerar que los gusanos e insectos que pululan por el cadáver y vestiduras del obispo no son otros invertebrados que las terribles termitas (Reticulitermes lucifugus), representadas en sus dos castas: obreras y soldados.This paper dealt with Valdés Leal known painting Finis Gloriae Mundi in the church of the Hospital de la Santa Caridad in Seville.
