A logic-algebraic tool for reasoning with Knowledge-Based Systems. Journal of Logical and Algebraic Methods in Programming, 101 (December 2018), 88-109.2352-2208https://hdl.handle.net/11441/86606A detailed exposition of foundations of a logic-algebraic model for reasoning with knowledge bases speci ed by propositional (Boolean) logic is presented. The model is conceived from the logical translation of usual derivatives on polynomials (on residue rings) which is used to design a new inference rule of algebro-geometric inspiration. Soundness and (refutational) completeness of the rule are proved. Some applications of the tools introduced in the paper are shown.application/pdfengAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacionalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Polynomial SemanticsSymbolic ComputingAutomated DeductionKnowledge-Based SystemsA logic-algebraic tool for reasoning with Knowledge-Based Systemsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess10.1016/j.jlamp.2018.09.001
