A lo largo de los años, el barrio ha experimentado un proceso de crecimiento continuo, con la construcción de nuevas viviendas y comercios que han ido completando las avenidas principales. Sin embargo, a pesar de su tamaño y densidad de población, Sevilla Este se enfrenta cada día a graves problemas de movilidad con el resto de la ciudad, puesto que el principal modo de transporte de los residentes sigue siendo el vehículo privado. En el año 2009, se prometió la construcción de la segunda línea de metro que uniría el barrio con Torre Triana, pero ha habido retrasos significativos desde entonces. Actualmente, las opciones de transporte público más utilizadas por los residentes se limitan a tres líneas de autobús regulares y una especial, que en ocasiones no cumple con su horario. Desde la administración aún se sigue hablando de una planificación futura del trazado de la Línea 2. Este trabajo se centra en el análisis de la movilidad desde Sevilla Este con el resto de la ciudad y en la conveniencia o no de la prometida Línea 2.The neighborhood of Sevilla Este is part of the Este-Alcosa-Torreblanca district, a district with more than 106 thousand inhabitants, of which almost 70 thousand reside in Seville East. Over the years, the neighborhood has experienced a process of continuous growth, with the construction of new homes and shops that have been completing the main avenues. However, despite its size and population density, Seville East faces serious mobility problems with the rest of the city every day. Due to this problem, the main mode of transport for residents is still the private vehicle. In 2009, the construction of the second metro line linking the neighborhood with Torre Triana was promised, but there have been significant delays since then. Currently, the public transport options most used by residents are limited to three regular bus lines and a special one, which sometimes does not meet their schedule. The administration is still talking about future planning of the route of Line 2.
