Del mismo modo, busca comprobar si la información se trata de igual forma que en las noticias de asesinatos de violencia de género. El estudio se centrará concretamente en los casos ocurridos entre los años 2013 y 2022 y analizará los periódicos El País, ABC, Libertad Digital y Público. Estos medios han sido elegidos debido a su clara división ideológica y a su diferente formato de creación (digital y en papel). El análisis del contenido muestra que los medios informan en menor medida de los casos de violencia doméstica al igual que le dan un tratamiento diferente que a los de violencia de género. Además se ha hecho latente la falta de cifras en registros oficiales.This study aims to elucidate whether the Spanish press is showing us the true number of cases of domestic violence murders, understanding these as murders carried out by a woman towards her partner or former male partner. Likewise, it seeks to verify if the information is treated in the same way as in the news of gender violence murders. The study will focus specifically on the cases that occurred between the years 2013 and 2022 and will analyze the newspapers El País, ABC, Libertad Digital and Público. These media have been chosen due to their clear ideological division and their different creation format (digital and paper). The content analysis shows that the media report cases of domestic violence to a lesser extent and give it a different treatment than those of gender violence.
