A partir de la evolución en el conocimiento teórico del Mitraísmo y a la luz de los nuevos datos disponibles sobre la presencia de este culto en Hispania, se verá que dichos testimonios han de ser interpretados desde claves teóricas diferentes a las propuestas en un primer momentoWe propose in this paper the need to review a variety of testimonies found in Italica and since half of the twentieth century they were identified as evidence certifying the presence of a Mithraic community in this city. We propose a new focus on them, taking on count changes in theoretical knowledge of Mithraism and the new data on the presence of this religion in Hispania.
