Para ello recurre a presupuestos teóricos ligados a la Escuela de Birmingham (Stuart Hall) o a aportaciones provenientes del campo de los Estudios Romaníes. El objetivo principal es pues delimitar los perfiles de estas configuraciones identitarias y mediáticas que conforman un eslabón más en la cadena diacrónica de estereotipación de los gitanos españoles. Por último, se prestará atención a la relación entre infancia gitana y los proyectos de regeneración que se ofrecen en estas películas.This contribution re-reads the stereotypes that operated in order to represent ‘Gypsy’ childhood in several Spanish films during the decades of 1940 and 1950. In this sense, it resorts to theorital approaches linked to the Schoolf of Birmingham (Stuart Hall) or to contributions coming from the field of the Romani Studies. The main goal is then to delimit the profiles of this identity and media configurations that act as another link in the diachronic chain of stereotypification of the Spanish ‘gypsies’.
