Inspirándonos en el método heurístico de Aby Warburg para manipular y recontextualizar imágenes, se examinan las conexiones entre mapa y obra artística y arquitectónica. De estos montajes surge el sumario propuesto, similar a una lista de operaciones y herramientas para trabajar en la cartografía, con el objetivo de descubrir en ellas herramientas de proyecto. Pasamos por mapas fragmentados, mesas de disecciones, mapas del vacío, hasta incluso mapas que se dibujan sobre la tierra. Todo ello, guiados por autores como Careri, Benjamin, Atkinson & Baldwin o Smithson, entre otros. Los mapas históricos, al ser reinterpretados y contextualizados en proyectos contemporáneos, parecen ofrecer nuevas perspectivas y comprensiones del espacio. El atlas como un dispositivo crítico para construir nuevas narrativas, ofrece una visión renovada sobre el uso de mapas en arquitectura y otras disciplinas.This research explores the relationship between cartography and project, showing how maps represent more than geographical coordinates by integrating more complex ideas and concepts. Drawing on Aby Warburg’s heuristic method for manipulating and recontextualising images, the connections between map and artistic and architectural work are examined. From these assemblages emerges the proposed summary, similar to a list of operations and tools for working in cartography, with the aim of discovering in them project tools. We pass through fragmented maps, dissection tables, maps of the void, and even maps that are drawn on the ground. All of this, guided by authors such as Careri, Benjamin, Atkinson & Baldwin or Smithson, among others. Historical maps, when reinterpreted and contextualised in contemporary projects, seem to offer new perspectives and understandings of space.
