The study is organized into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the motivation for the development of this work. The second chapter introduces the hypergeometric differential equation and the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The third chapter addresses Jacobi polynomials, a type of solution function for the hypergeometric differential equation. The fourth chapter focuses on spherical harmonics, solutions of the Laplace equation in spherical coordinates. Finally, the fifth chapter connects the work of the previous topics with the group theory of angular momentum through generalized spherical harmonics, derived from the study of the representations of the rotation group 𝑆𝑂(3).Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado examina las funciones especiales y la teoría cuántica del momento angular. El estudio se organiza en cinco capítulos. El primero introduce la motivación del desarrollo de este trabajo. El segundo introduce la ecuación diferencial hipergeométrica y el método de Nikiforov-Uvarov. En el tercer capítulo se abordan los polinomios de Jacobi, un tipo de función solución de la ecuación diferencial hipergeométrica. El cuarto se centra en los armónicos esféricos, soluciones de la ecuación de Laplace en coordenadas esférica.
