La digitalización de la cooperación judicial y del acceso transfronterizo a la Justicia a través del Reglamento (UE) 2023/2844 constituye un relevante resultado de ello, del mismo modo que la propia digitalización los sistemas judiciales en la Unión Europea. El Reglamento repercute directamente sobre los actos jurídicos en las materias civil, mercantil y penal adoptados durante más de dos décadas, que constituyen los fundamentos de la cooperación judicial y del propio Espacio de Libertad, Seguridad y Justicia. Este Reglamento nunca debe ni concebirse ni estudiarse de forma aislada, sino desde una perspectiva holística que considere otros avances como el sistema e-CODEX e instituciones como la Agencia eu-LISA. Estamos por tanto ante relevantes innovaciones, que poseen un gran calado estructural.The European Union has an ambitious policy on the digitisation of justice. The digitisation of judicial cooperation and cross-border access to justice through Regulation (EU) 2023/2844 is an important result of this, as is the digitisation of judicial systems in the European Union. The Regulation has a direct impact on the legal acts in civil, commercial and criminal matters adopted over more than two decades, which are the foundations of judicial cooperation and of the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice itself. This Regulation should never be conceived or studied in isolation, but rather from a holistic perspective, that takes into account other developments such as the e-CODEX system and institutions such as the eu-LISA Agency.
