Como ejemplo de literatura enciclopédica de su tiempo, en él se lleva a cabo el análisis del contenido y la forma de los textos dedicados a los lugares situados en la costa occidental de al-Andalus. A través de los textos analizados se estudia la intención del autor y también su particular visión del fenómeno histórico andalusí que desea mantener unido al marco del mundo árabe clásico.This article is a new approach to the Āṯār al-bilād of the Persian al-Qazwīnī. As an example of encyclopaedic literature of his time, it analyses the content and form of the texts dedicated to locations on the western coast of al-Andalus.
