Complex Variables and Elliptic Equations, 31 (2), 121-129.1747-69331747-6941https://hdl.handle.net/11441/87496In this paper a new sort of operators, the Taylor shifts, is introduced. They appear as a generalization of weighted backward shifts on the spaces of entire functions and of holomorphic functions in the unit disk. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of universal functions with respect to a sequence of such operators are investigated. Several earlier results are derived as consequences.application/pdfengAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacionalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Universal functionHolomorphic functionEntire functionTaylor shiftWeighted backward shiftEquicontinuityResidual setMacLane’s theoremRolewicz’s theoremUniversal functions for taylor shiftsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttps://doi.org/10.1080/17476939608814953
