Entre estas acciones están las de informarse sobre sus derechos y deberes, los recursos y servicios de apoyo con que cuentan, las normas de evaluación, las vías de participación, etc. En este trabajo realizamos un análisis de los principales resultados obtenidos en un estudio tipo survey realizado con 1254 estudiantes, fruto de un convenio de colaboración entre el Grupo de Investigación GIEPAD y la Defensoría de la Universidad de Sevilla. Tuvo como finalidad analizar la experiencia del estudiantado como parte de la comunidad universitaria. Los resultados apuntan a que hay carencias en cuanto a la implicación del estudiantado, que derivan en dificultades para persistir y/o realizar un mejor aprovechamiento de su trayectoria universitaria. Students’ engagement actions include information about their rights and duties, the resources and support services they have, the evaluation rules, the ways of participation, etc. This work draws on research conducted with 1254 students, as a result of a collaboration agreement between the GIEPAD Research Group and the Ombudsman of the University of Seville. Its purpose was to analyze the experience of students as part of the university community; data were collected through a questionnaire. The results indicate that there are shortcomings in the involvement of the students, which lead to difficulties in persevering and / or improving their in-depth learning.
