Tiene dos pretensiones principales que podríamos desglosar claramente. En primer lugar, el análisis y clasificación de las concepciones que se han dado del fenómeno manierista, teniendo en cuenta el análisis desde su nacimiento, así como el mismo desarrollo que sufrió a lo largo de toda su historiografía; poniendo en cuestión qué tipo de reflexión podemos realizar sobre las principales figuras manieristas en dichas concepciones. En segundo lugar, traer a colación la figura de Pontormo para poner sobra el tapiz, cómo esta figura rompe con la forma habitual de encasillamiento desde la mayoría de la historigrafía, a través de la aplicación en su análisis de categorías estéticas superficiales. Una defensa de dicho artista que incidirá principalmente en las nuevas formas de representabilidad de lo religioso y en su ambición en el campo formal y compositivo de las imágenes.This work consists of an investigation into the mannerist painting of the first half of the Italian cinquecento. It had two main goals that can be clearly dissected. First, the analysis and classification of the foundations which have been given of the mannerist phenomenon, taking into account the analysis since its birth, as well as the development throughout its entire historiography; questioning what type of reflection we can carry out on the main mannerists figures in these foundations. Secondly, look at the figure of Pontormo to show how this figure breaks from the usual classification from the majority of historiography through the application in its analysis of superficial aesthetic categories.
