Journal of Business Research, 69 (11), 4912-4917.0148-2963https://hdl.handle.net/11441/71119Environmental management and green practices have a narrow linkage with fi rm innovativeness. Companies that are pioneersin green innovation strategies might reach and sustain competitive advantages. Thus, successful green innovation performance (GIP) helps fi rms to achieve greater ef fi ciency as well as to establish and strength- en their core competences. This study focuses on the dynamic capabilities (DC) and ordinary capabilities (OC) like antecedents of GIP, and the relationship between these constructs. Proposing a mediation model to analyze both direct and indirect relationships, this study applies variance-based structural equation modeling through a partial least squares to a sample of 112 fi rms from the Spanish automotive components' manufacturing sector. The results suggest that both the direct effect and indirect effect of capabilities (DC and OC) on GIP are positive and signi fi cant, and improve the prediction of fi rm's GIP. Furthermore, the structural model supports that DC in fl uence GIP by recon fi guring relationship-learning capabilities (a type of OC)application/pdfengAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internacionalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Dynamic capabilitiesOrdinary relationship learning capabilitiesGreen innovation performancePartial least squareThe antecedents of green innovation performance: A model of learning and capabilitiesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess10.1016/j.jbusres.2016.04.052
