Existen muchos golpes, pero el remate es el golpe más ofensivo debido a su velocidad a la que va el volante. Se observaron los partidos de semifinal y final de cada modalidad en uno de los torneos más importantes del año. En cada partido se ha utilizado una hoja de registro anotando la zona desde donde se ha realizado el remate y si ha sido un golpe ganador, no ganador o fallado. Una vez analizado todos los datos recogidos durante los partidos, pudimos observar que en la modalidad de dobles femenino es donde el remate es menos eficaz. Por otro lado, ambas modalidades de individuales resultaron las más eficaces para conseguir un punto a través del remate.This Bachelor’s Thesis presents a research study to analyse whether the smash is an effective shot to score a point in the five existing modalities of badminton. There are many shots, but the smash is the most offensive shot due to the speed at which the shuttlecock travels. The semifinal and final matches of each modality in one of the most important tournaments of the year were observed. In each mach, a recording sheet was used to note the area from which the smash was executad and whether it was a winner, non-winner, or failed shot. After analysing all the data collected during the matches, we observed that the smash is least effective in the women’s doubles modality.
