El Concurso se realizó en un contexto posrevolucionario, históricamente determinado por las políticas económicas del naciente Estado y caracterizado por las indagaciones para resolver el problema de la tierra, la ciudad y la vivienda. En este texto se presenta una revisión histórica del contexto donde se desarrolló y una reflexión sobre esta experiencia. Se proponen tres claves para la reflexión histórica: la objetivación de la transformación socialista en la arquitectura, la colectivización de la vida a través de la transición hacia la casa comuna y la técnica al servicio de la revoluciónThe Friendly Competition between Comrades of 1926-1927 was called by the Association of Contemporary Architects (OSA) to contribute solving the housing problems of the working class in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR); Its development constituted a search exercise for new ways of living to move forward in the socialist life. The Contest was held in a post-revolutionary context, historically determined by the economic policies of the nascent State and characterized by investigations to solve the problem of land, city and housing. This text presents a historical review of the context where it was developed and a reflection on the experience.
