Es cierto que su lucha por la preservación de la defensa del patrimonio histórico y artístico de la capital andaluza ha sido conocida por todo el mundo. Este trabajo de investigación y de campo pretende rendir un homenaje a una figura emblemática, a nivel periodístico en la ciudad de Sevilla, Antonio Burgos. Dado que su trayectoria profesional es muy amplia y completa, este trabajo será una aproximación a la personalidad del periodista y escritor sevillano. Profundizará en temas como una breve biografía que incluirá anécdotas contadas por Isabel Herce, esposa del periodista, y Manuel Capelo, ex director adjunto del ABC de Sevilla, en dos entrevistas llevadas a cabo expresamente para el proyecto, además de un recorrido por sus premios y reconocimientos. Por otro lado, para conocer su estilo periodístico, hará falta saber sobre el contexto histórico en el que escribió Antonio Burgos, además del porqué de su seudónimo Abel Infanzón. También se podrá observar una comparativa entre artículos escritos y publicados en el Diario ABC de Sevilla, al comienzo y al final de su carrera, dando lugar a la explicación de su consideración como pionero del andalucismo. Por último, se redactará un análisis de la sesión necrológica que se hizo en memoria del fallecimiento de Antonio Burgos en diciembre de 2023.The role played by Antonio Burgos Belinchón was key to the development of the Sevillian press, helping us understand the city he loved so much. It’s true that his fight to preserve and defend the historical and artistic heritage of the Andalusian capital has been known throughout the world. This research and fieldwork project aims to pay tribute to Antonio Burgos, an iconic journalistic figure in Seville. Given his extensive and comprehensive professional career, this work will provide an insight into the personality of the Sevillian journalist and writer. It will delve into topics such as a brief biography, including anecdotes told by Isabel Herce, the journalist wife’s, and Manuel Capelo, former deputy director of ABC in Sevilla, in two interviews conducted specifically for the project, as well as a review of his awards and recognitions. Furthermore, to understand his journalistic style, it will be necessary to understand the historical context in which Antonio Burgos wrote, as well as the reasons for this pseudonym Abel Infanzón. A comparison will also be made between articles written and published in the Seville newspaper ABC, both at the beginning and end of his career. This will explain why he was considered a pioneer of Andalusianism.
