con uso de aperos ligeros y, finalmente, se ... EI cultivo del olivo, principalmente por tradición, se ha visto sometido a repetidas operaciones de labrado. Se alza el suelo tras la recolección, otra parte del año se mulle con uso de aperos ligeros y, finalmente, se prepara para facilitar la recogida. EI objetivo del laboreo es eliminar las malas hierbas y evitar su competencia por agua y nutrientes. Estas operaciones, muy agresivas y no realizadas en el momento oportuno con mayor frecuencia de lo que se debiera, han contribuido negativamente al medio natural y al propio cultivo. Muchos de estos suelos han pasado de ser muy fértiles a escasamente productivos porque sus propiedades físicas, químicas y biológicas han sido cambiadas. Los contenidos de materia orgánica, fauna del suelo, entre otros, han disminuido y se ha pasado de un suelo de naturaleza viva a otro totalmente modificado e inerte. |
