Arquitectura y Participatory Action Research.

Abstract

La investigación interdisciplinar en Arquitectura, de la mano del ACT (Arte, Ciencia y Tecnología) debe atender por igual a los aspectos técnicos y creativos, considerados ambos tanto desde un punto de vista práctico como a nivel teórico. En ese sentido, la comunicación trata de clarificar los múltiples planteamien- tos de colaboración entre diferentes especialistas en torno al hecho arquitectónico, contando además con el protagonismo de los propios usuarios en la gestación del proyecto mediante la Participatory Action Re- search (PAR) asociada a la Quality Assurance (QA) a partir de un proceso participativo y colaborativo. Se trata de nuevas propuestas de construcción de espacios que huyen de las fórmulas tecnocráticas conven- cionales y que por ello están más pendientes de las necesidades reales de los ciudadanos, planteando una revisión profunda de las metodologías proyectuales tradicionales. En otro orden de cosas, la arquitectura como hecho cultural se aproxima cada vez más a los conceptos de medialab y fablab, ya que no es ajena a los cambios operados por las nuevas tecnologías en relación a la manera de comunicar la arquitectura. Así, la modelización arquitectónica cobra importancia como estrategia de comunicación del proyecto, si bien al margen de la calidad conceptual del mismo.

Interdisciplinary research in Architecture, in the hands of the ACT (Art, Science and Technology) must attend equally to technical and creative aspects, considered both from a practical and theoretical point of view. In this sense, the communication tries to clarify the multiple approaches of collaboration between different specialists around the architectural fact, counting also with the protagonism of the users themselves in the gestation of the project through the Participatory Action Research (PAR) associated with Quality Assurance (QA) from a participatory and collaborative process. These are new proposals for the construction of spaces that flee from the conventional technocratic formulas and which are therefore more open to the real needs of citizens, proposing an in-depth revision of traditional project methodologies. On the other hand, architecture as a cultural fact is increasingly approaching the concepts of medialab and fablab, since it is not alien to the changes undergone by the new technologies in relation to the way of communicating architecture. Thus, architectural modeling becomes important as a communication strategy for the project, albeit outside the conceptual quality of the Project.
