Abstract | El Caso es el único medio de comunicación del franquismo en el cual la violencia contra las mujeres se trataba en sus páginas de manera sistemática. El Caso es el único medio de comunicación del franquismo en el cual la violencia contra las mujeres se trataba en sus páginas de manera sistemática. Y, a falta de consideraciones oficiales sobre la naturaleza de la misma, el Semanario de Sucesos se erige como el máximo difusor de los discursos sobre la violencia patriarcal. A través del análisis crítico del discurso, se analizan las 117 noticias aparecidas en 1954, 1964 y 1974, evidenciando la ideología androcéntrica y patriarcal. El Caso sirve de altavoz a los preceptos del Estado, la Iglesia y la Escuela del franquismo, configurando un determinado modelo de mujer, de hombre, y de relaciones entre los géneros. A lo largo de las tres décadas se detectan algunos cambios superficiales en el tratamiento informativo de los parricidios y crímenes pasionales, motivados sobre todo, por las transformaciones económicas y de los modos de vida. Sin embargo, las consideraciones intrínsecas de la violencia contra las mujeres se mantienen estables y se reproducen siguiendo tres estrategias principales: la deshumanización del agresor, la exculpación del agresor —a través de elementos externos, que varían a lo largo del tiempo, como los celos, el alcoholismo o la enfermedad mental— y la justificación de la agresión —motivada por un comportamiento inadecuado por parte de las mujeres. |
