En la ideología hegemónica dominante propia de la elite, que la literatura latina transmite y construye, el vir, en tanto varón adulto ingenuus de los estamentos superiores es el único agente moral legítimo habilitado para interpretar y determinar identidades, diferencias, pertenencias y exclusiones. Se estudia el funcionamiento del vir como agente moral en la elegía latina a través del análisis de la polaridad pudor/metus, cuyos términos son apropiados para explorar el mundo ficcional elegíaco por su condición de controladores e inhibidores de las conductas humanas. |
