Abstract | El presente trabajo aborda el estudio de edificaciones singulares, de carácter no monumental, situadas en el curso del río Guadalquivir a su paso por la ciudad de Córdoba: la Albolafia y los molinos que se encuentran junto ... El presente trabajo aborda el estudio de edificaciones singulares, de carácter no monumental, situadas en el curso del río Guadalquivir a su paso por la ciudad de Córdoba: la Albolafia y los molinos que se encuentran junto al Puente Romano. Dichas edificaciones, cuyos orígenes nos aproximan a la propia razón de ser de la ciudad, no han sido objeto de investigaciones recientes. En la actualidad se encuentran en lamentable estado de abandono o ruina, quizás por desconocimiento, por su carácter anónimo, o por dificultades administrativas; a pesar de su destacado papel en la configuración de la imagen paisajística de Córdoba a lo largo de la historia, ya que aparecen en la principales vistas de la ciudad dibujadas desde el siglo XVI hasta nuestros días, cuyo análisis, inédito hasta ahora, vamos a introducir. Así, tomando como referencia el estado actual y las aportaciones de destacados estudiosos, se analiza críticamente la información desprendida de un amplio repertorio de documentos gráficos, desde las primeras panorámicas de Córdoba dibujadas por Wyngaerde (h. 1567) y Hoefnagel (h. 1572), a los dibujos de viajeros del XIX, como Roberts (h. 1835–1838), Vivian (h. 1837–38) u otros, e incluso diversas fotografías de gran valor documental, tomadas en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Para acometer el análisis de las imágenes seleccionadas ha sido necesario recopilar y ordenar previamente algunos datos históricos de referencia, que se sintetizan a continuación. |
