Dataset language: English 2. Abstract: Monitoring and evaluation of different ventilation protocols (ventilation systems, ventilation rates, and ventilation schedules) to assess their influence on indoor air quality variables (carbon dioxide levels) and indoor thermal comfort (temperature and relative humidity) in test cells. The monitored data is provided in a simultaneous comparison over time and under the same outdoor climatic conditions, considering different orientations and comparing a representative residential space of the social housing stock in southern Spain in two states: non-retrofitted (without thermal insulation) and retrofitted (with an external thermal insulation solution). Additionally, outdoor climatic data on carbon dioxide levels, temperature, and relative humidity monitored during the study periods is also provided. 3. Were data derived from another source?: No METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION ----------------------- 1. Description of the methods used to collect and generate the data: To collect the data a monitoring system installed that meets the requirements established by UNE-EN ISO 7726:2002 has been used. It consists of a star network with several sensors recording data at 5-min intervals. The information recorded is stored in several data loggers for a limited period of time. Every 30 min, this information is uploaded to a FPT using the University of Seville’s RedIris network. The stored data is subsequently compiled by local computing equipment, creating several .txt files. The operative temperature in the cells has been calculated according to the method established in ISO 7726:2002, through the average of indoor air temperatures, obtained from the thermometers, and radiant interior temperatures, calculated from the surface temperatures of the space, obtained from the thermocouples and weighted according to the form factors. Four air temperature sensors (thermometers), hanged from the false ceiling and placed as a matrix in the centre of each cell (at 1.5 m height), an eight surface temperature sensors (thermocouples), placed in each cell (6 on the walls at 1.5 m height and at 0.7 m, 1.5 m and 1.8 m height in the main facade; 1 on the roof and, finally, 1 in the floor) have been used. The indoor CO2 detector and relative humidity sensor have been placed at 0.5 m in the cell. A local weather station located in the roof of one of the cells registers the outdoor parameters. 2. Data processing methods: The .txt files are combined into a single .csv file to be processed. For disemmination, this file has been converted into a .xlsx file. 3. Software or instruments needed to interpret the data: The file may be open with any Notepad or data processing software. FILE OVERVIEW ---------------------- 1.
