Abstract: An experiment designed to characterize the durability, efficiency and stability of a 32700 LiFePO4 battery has been performed under specific operating conditions, simulating realistic use and evaluating its performance over hundreds of cycles. Here, experimental data for this experiment are compiled. The battery has been subjected to charge and discharge tests. 3. Keywords: Rechargeable battery; charge; discharge 4. Date of data collection (fecha única o rango de fechas): 2024 5. Publication Date: 28-11-2024 6. Grant information: Grant Agency [Organismo financiador]: Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación and Agencia Estatal de Investigación (España) (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033) and by ‘‘European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR’‘ Grant Number [Código del proyecto]: TED2021-129558B-C22 ACCESS INFORMATION ------------------------ 1. Creative Commons License of the dataset: CC BY-NC-SA 2. Dataset DOI: 10.12795/11441/165294 METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION ----------------------- 1. Description of the methods used to collect and generate the data: Description of the test bench: - Charging process: Sorensen DLM 20-30 power supply connected to the 32700 LiFePO4 battery. - Discharge process: BK Precision 8614 programmable load connected to the 32700 LiFePO4 battery. Description of the charge and discharge experiment: Automatic tests consisting of 579 charge and discharge cycles, with a 20-minute pause between each process. - The charging process is performed with a constant charging current of 6 A until the battery reaches a voltage of 3.65V (maximum charging voltage). After this, a charge is carried out with a constant charge voltage of 3.65V until the charge current reaches 0.5A. (CC-CV charge profile) - The discharge process was set at a discharge current of 6 A and a cutoff voltage of 2.5 V. - Rest time: After each charge or discharge process, a rest time of 20 minutes was established. FILE OVERVIEW ---------------------- 1. File list: File name: ENSAYOSBATERIA.zip Description: A zip file that contains a folder "ENSAYOSBATERIA". The "ENSAYOSBATERIA" folder contains .txt files generated during automatic tests. Inside this folder, there are two subfolders: "cargasVF" and "descargasVF". - The "cargasVF" folder contains the files corresponding to the battery charging processes in each cycle. - The "descargasVF" folder stores the files related to the battery discharging processes in each cycle. - The data recorded during the rest times are saved in the battery discharging files. 2. File name format: - Text files (.txt) follow the following name format: "CARGAn" for charge and "DESCARGAn" for discharge, where n indicates the cycle number. - Example: "CARGA48" and "DESCARGA48" correspond to the cycle number 48, indicating the charging and discharging phases, respectively. 3. Structure of each of the .txt files: Each file contains data organized in 5 columns as follows. - First column: Battery voltage (in Volts). - Second column: Charging current (in Amps). - Third column: Discharging current (in Amps). - Fourth column: Temperature (in degrees Celsius). - Fifth column: Timestamp in seconds. 4.
