Dataset language: English 2. Abstract: This database contains the date used in the paper "The Effect of Altruism on COVID-19 Vaccination Rates". The sample covers the countries of the European Union. The database is made up of four sections. The first section includes the dataset including all the variables employed in the study. The second section includes raw data on total vaccination by country, while the third includes this data transformed by linear interpolation to obtain a complete time series without missing data. The four sections include time series on the share of people vaccinated over the total population. 3. Keywords: Vaccination; altruism; linear interpolation 4. Date of data collection: 14-04-2022 5. METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION ----------------------- 1. Data processing methods: - "Total vaccinated": Since some countries have published data on vaccinations less frequently than daily or have not published data on certain days of the week, a linear interpolation has been carried out between the value of the previous day and the value of the following day. For those countries in which data ends before the end of the sample, the data of the last available day is extended. - "% vaccinated": The total vaccinated in each country is divided by the total population in 2020 (latest available) - "average_speed": It is obtained by dividing the total number of vaccinated by the number of days since the start of the vaccination campaign, which we set on 08-12-2020. 2.
